Reflection of Serious Management Problems

Problem Behavior & Aggression 
The lecturing has explained to me how to manage the serious problems, especially in school environmental. From the lecturing the basic root is from problem behavior. If in the school context (from students side), the basic root of the problems is from students’ problem behavior.
            Problem behavior (students’ perspective) from my understanding that I get from the lecturing is attitude that done by mind (dilakukan secara sadar). This problem behavior is influenced by some reasons, like the students need more attention, express their anger, avoid punishment, having problems with parents and etc. The problems can be different things and it called by “Type of Aggression” like annoying others students, broke the class rules, disturb learning process and others. Generally, it is classify in peer aggression, physical aggression, reactive, proactive, and indirect. So that’s way, it need some solution and anticipation to solve and prohibit that.
            The first step in order to prohibit and solve the problems is the teachers have to do “The Functional Identify Assessment”. What is that? It is the process to identify the reasons of students. Why students do the bullying, why students avoid the class and others. The next step is teachers have to plan intervention. The teacher plan to do some prohibition in order to minimize the students’ bad behavior, like good management class, clear direction, personal approach, modeling and role playing, cooperative learning, self-monitoring, social skill training and others.
            Responding Bullying
             Bullying is attitude, action or doing something that can hurt others (physically or physiology) and bullying part of aggression.
            Responds defiant students from teachers in prohibit the bullying are:
  1. Teacher do not assume that the kind of students as problems
  2. Teacher gives some consequences for the students if they make some annoying
  3. Teachers should be more patient in facing the kind of students.
There are tips for teachers in prohibit and avoid the bullying:
1.      Teachers should know the characteristics of the school
2.      Giving more attention to the students
3.      Teachers should have knowledge about bullying
4.      Discussion with others teachers
5.      Give fast action and response when teachers know there is bullying in the school
