Last Reflection

It is my last reflection for MMSEL course. In this reflection I will tell my experience when doing MMSEL project.  Members of my group are Dian Ayu, Diyanta Wiga, and Deshinta. Our project is about maintaining the value of SSEs’ culture. Then, the purpose of our project is to encourage the perspective of new students towards SSE’s values in order to maintain the values to the SSE students. So, the participants were all of SSE students intake 2012. 

            In the beginning we planned our project will be held from December 5^th to January 9^st, 2012. Then, the series of meetings will be held 3 times. However, the plan cannot realize for some reason. One of them was because difficult to find the available time of the SSE students intake 2012. Therefore, we acould did one meeting for all of the activities that we planned. Besides that, there were some activities that we revisions, but without break of the values that we want to be achieved. Besides difficult to get the time, we also difficult to found the speakers that can become the speaker in our project, again it was because the time.

            Actually the participants were aware of the importance the values. Then, they have intention in their self to maintaining that values, but some of them need to be motivated. Therefore, the challenge is how to motivate them until they are can maintain that values. So, they can influence the others (cohort 2011, 2010 and 2009) to maintain too our values. I was happy when I hear one of them said that now he was not shy to gave a smile or greeting to the senior. It is means that the purpose of our project starting began to look accomplishments. Although the things of changes are not big, but from little things I believe that if it is consistent occur it can be a great impact.

            Honestly, sometimes I forgot about our values. After this project I was aware that not only the participant that should maintain our values, but all of SSE students included myself should maintain it. Then, if I have an opportunity again I want to make this project for all of SSE students. So, we can together keep our values. I can imagine it will be a great project, with the various of activities that can build our values in vision and mission of SSE.
