Reflection of Problem Behaviors
Woro Retno Kris Sejati(2010110045)
When I
was in Junior High School, in 7th grade, my friends always called me
“Kriting”. They liked to called me with that name because of my hair is curly.
In Indonesia, curly means keriting.
In the first time, when my friends called me with that name, I did not like it.
I felt uncomfortable with that name. I felt that I am different and I was not
confidence in doing anything.
Not
only called me Kriting, my friends who sat behind me played with my hair. They
used my hair became their joke. I did not like it. I said to them angrily and
they were scared of me. Because of that, I always angry if my friend making
joke of hair. Finally my friend scared, never play, and making joke about my
hair.
In 9th
grade in Bahasa Indonesia course, my teacher asked me to speech in front of
class. In the middle of my speech, my teacher called my name loudly, my true
name is Woro Retno Kris Sejati but my teacher called me Woro Retno Kriting
Sekali after he looked at my hair. He said that my hair like her daughter’s
hair. They told me that her daughter look like Papua’s girl. Her skin is black
and her hair is curly. Whole students in the class laughed of me in that time. I
felt ashamed but I am not angry anymore.
After
the accident in 7th grade that my classmate called me Kriting, my mother
told me that I have to be wise to accept my hair. I have deal with it. Because
of that advice, I was not angry in the class when my own teacher called me
Kriting. I feel lucky because my hair now, because until now, my teacher still
remember of me because of my uniqueness.
Now, after
me entering university and following MMSEL class, I knew that I become the
victim of bullying when I was in 7th grade. It was hurt me in the
first time. Teacher should be able to handle the class when students bully
their friends. And also teacher must be the role model for the students. So,
they not allowed to bully their students.
