Smart and Authority

The second meeting in MMSEL course is very wonderful. Especially, I impress in the group role play. Well, the role play is helping me to understand the topic of three theories of need. Based on the theories, I have experiences when I study at Elementary school to Senior High School.

When I was in Elementary school, I have friends named Erwin. She rarely study hard and not paying attention when my teacher explaining the materials. However, she always can answer the question given by my math teacher. Actually I’m so jealous because I have study hard but I can’t like her become smart. At that time, I have low motivation in math subject because of that. In addition, my math teacher just pushes her to maintain the competence but not push me and my friends to promote our competence. In that case, my self esteem is low.

The second experience was when I enter in Senior High School. My parents ask me to enter in SMA N 1 Bangsri but I want to enter in SMA N 2 Semarang. I’m disappointed because I have to fulfill my parents hope. Actually, I have authority to choose the school that I want to enter and study there. But I can’t get it. I want to enter in SMA N 2 Semarang because the school is favorite but the distance is far from my town. Finally, I enter in SMA N 1 Bangsri because the distances more near from my home. However, I in first semester I become naughty because I want mutiny to my parents.  Finally, I only become average students with low score until second semester in X grade.

From some cases, I want to conclude that every student has different competence and the teacher should raise the competence. Don’t ever lose students self esteem or self worth because the motivation will be low too. And as a students, we have authority including choose the school.
