My First Reflection

On Tuesday, I have learned about MMSEL. What is MMSEL? Motivation and Management of Student for Effective Learning. Is class like Mario Teguh show? No, is not like that. Why SSE establish this course? Is it important? Let read my story.

If I reflect when I was a student in junior high school, I have a mathematics teacher who just give the student assignment and collect it without any feedback or score. As a student i am become lazy when doing the homework, because there is no feedback from my homework. I never know the development of my mathematics skills. Beside that, my teacher is not very professional because she rarely enter to the classroom, she always many reason to did not enter to the classroom. I think she did not like teaching actually. It is very different when I was 9th grade, the mathematics teacher is very patient when he taught all the student and always give feedback or any comment for my homework. The feedback was gave motivation for me although I did not answer all question correctly. The comment is like “Good! Do your best”. I am study hard to have good score in mathematics That was my experience. Now, I am become a teacher and I have many modeling. I did not sure I become a good teacher who always gives motivation to all my student later. But, I have longer time to learn how to motivate myself with this course actually, because before I can motivate other I have to have motivation itself.

I cannot wait to learned again with my friends and my lecturer Miss. Mima because the class was enjoy and the atmosphere in the classroom was comfortable. Actually, until now in my mind still confused what is motivation itself? How can I do to motivate myself? Can I to be a motivator for my student? I hope I can answer all of my question after follow this course.
