1st Reflection of MMSEL

On September 25^th, 2012, it is first meeting Motivation and Management of students for Effective Learning (MMSEL) course.  We study with Miss Mima. We study a lot about the motivation. We discussed about definition, perspectives on motivation, intrinsic and extrinsic motivation, and theory of motivation.

 

Motivation is a process whereby a goal-directed activity is instigated and sustained. We know Motivation is very important to increase achievement student. If student’s motivation is high then student’s achievement is also high. It’s mean a teacher must motivated their students. We also discussed about intrinsic and intrinsic of motivation. Motivation which from inside ourselves called intrinsic motivation, but motivation which from outside ourselves called extrinsic motivation.  And the end course we discussed a lot about theory of motivation.  There is four theory motivation, it is Behavioral Theories, Humanistic Theories, Cognitive and social Theories, and Sociocultural Theories.

From the theories we know deep about motivation and kinds of motivation. We hope from this course we can give motivation to my students. So that my students have motivation, finally my student have good achievement and good performance.
