“I motivated for studying MMSEL
because I want to be a great teacher!” That is a statement that comes to my
mind the first time I learn MMSEL. Motivation is something that comes from
inside or outside yourself that produces a power to do something that you want.
All teachers need to encourage their student with motivate them for doing
something for any purpose. This statement also an example of intrinsic
motivation.
From what have I learn in the
first meeting, motivation has 2 factors.
That is intrinsic motivation and extrinsic motivation. Intrinsic
motivation is the powerful motivation, because it comes from us without effecting
by other factor. As a learner and teacher candidate we need to have strong
intrinsic motivation so that we can effect other people to do their best.
There are 4 theories of motivation
that I learn in the first meeting. There are behavior motivation, humanistic
motivation, Cognitive and social cognitive motivation, and social culture
motivation.
At the end of the course I hope I
will have a good skill for motivating someone around me. So that I can also motivating
my students when I am a teacher.
