Climate Variable._ Refleksi at meeting on october 30, 2012

At meeting on October 30, 2012, we discuss about climate variable. Climate variable consist of order and safety, challenge, and success.

For this material I will reflect when I am school experience yesterday. When the first time I entered class of eleven sciences 2, I provide classroom regulation, I give yel-yel to make the class more orderly. Before I give material, so I give students games to make students more have spirit to follow my class so that students feel safety learning with me.

Then I explain about probability. After I explain I give student worksheet.  all of student can do worksheet very well because the worksheet is easier. So at the end of the lesson I asked students to write a reflection. All of student say that I must give worksheet more difficult. So for the next meeting I use difficult problem.

In the next  meeting. I explain about trigonometry and I have set up more difficult problem, I want to give something that is challenging for them, making students more thinking out loud. So they spend more time than usual, and I was satisfied to give more challenging questions that make students think more to find solution to the problem. In fact only three until five students to complete the problem that I give. However, they are more motivated to complete the problem; I can look when I ask them “have you given up?" Their answered: "Not yet miss, be patient miss, give me more time to complete the problem ". I am very pleased with their response, its shows that they are motivated to complete the problem

When I start the lesson I always start with open ended question such as “what do you know about trigonometry?  Give me Examples that illustrate trigonometry in real life? '. I think this question can make students think before they accept the material and if students can be answered properly then it can be said has been successful. Beside that we can look successful when students’ success in learning, students gets a great value and we achieved the learning objectives.

As teachers are expected to implement the Climate variables consist of order and safety, challenge, and success in the learning process.
