Climate Variable: Creating a Motivating Environment

Actually in last meeting with Mam Mima I have had learn MMSEL about climate variable in teaching and learning in class room that impact to students’ motivation. In that meeting we have reading article about positive climate in classroom. We discussed that the positive classroom climate is a climate of the classroom where the students and teacher can work together as learner and teacher. These activities expect the students can find the goal in teaching and learning process by self or guide by teacher. Teacher can make the positive climate in classroom with create the four climate variables such as order and safety, success, challenge and task comprehension.

After we discuss that consist of 4 members. Together in class we watch 4 short video about implement teacher teach in class. And we should be observe the video how the classroom climate in that video. After that we discuss more in pair whether in that movie consist of four climate variable such as order and safety, success, challenge and task comprehension.

In this overview, that a good teacher is a teacher who is able to create the four climate variable. If we viewed from the variable of order and safety, students should be feeling comfortable in expressing their opinions. Do not be afraid if his opinion is wrong. So between teachers and students continue to thrive in creating an atmosphere of learning, students will eventually achieve the learning objectives set by teacher. In terms of the success of the teachers to complete the students' own learning goals and managed to understand the topic being taught. Where is students had progress in learning. Students should also be given more challenges; it aims to enhance students' critical patterns. In addition, if there are some students who are already proficient in the material do not get bored of seeing the given topic and the training they have mastered a variable investment challenge. The last variable is a variable comprehension task aims to motivate students to learn. In addition teachers are required to give an understanding or stimulus that learning activities and understanding of the task is important.

If associated with my life when in school, that at that time there are many teachers who commit acts of violence that aims to make students feel afraid that they will learn to avoid them. Besides punitive action in the form of standing in front of the class, it becomes mandatory for students who are not biased or not doing exercise homework. It should not be done by the teacher of the teacher despite good intentions that motivates them to learn before the meeting. This is an act of violence that they should know the negative impacts, the decline in students' motivation to learn. Because students' perceptions vary in punishment, there is a motivated if convicted or students will fall if convicted. Therefore, teachers need to know personally every student and classroom climate itself.

So for a professional teacher candidates need to pay attention to climate variables. Where is intended as noted above, that students should be free from fear and bullying physical or verbal bullying.
