Motivation for All: A Reflection

Dasrizal/ 2010110019

When I first came to the MMSEL course, I was so attracted because I loved this kind of topic: motivation. Then, the lecturer gave us an assignment which would involve all students to participate. It was called ‘Motivation for All’. My group planned several plans, yet Inspiring Class became the project that we would like to conduct.
The preparation of the project was not that easy. I, personally, had to deal with people who were not cooperative in working together. Therefore, I should spend my time more than others to think about this project.
Inspiring class was the project to motivate high school students about dreams and future. We came to SMA Yasporbi, South Jakarta to hold this project. It was fun even though the implementation was not that perfect. Students in grade XI were noisier than the XII graders. It was a really big challenge when we had to motivate students who didn’t even want to listen to us. Finally, we tried several strategies to apply and they were willing to listen to us.
Another interesting part of this project was when Inspiring Class sent a proposal for a sponsorship. We won it. We were founded, so the finance of the event was raised well. From the sponsor, we also followed a workshop about team management which helped us much to conduct the project.
All in all, I really love ‘Motivation for All’ project because we could explore our ability in conducting motivational event. What I reflect from this project is that I can see my motivation when I’m doing a planning. Thus, I can also see others’ motivation to work together here. There is up and down situation. Yes, this is the meaning of motivation itself. I understand it through directly in field.
