I like it and I will not forget it :)

The first meeting of Motivation and management of students for effective learning (MMSEL) class

Well, yesterday was the first time I learned what motivation and management of students for effective learning (MMSEL) really is. Even though at that time not much material that was delivered in class and only few things that are able to put into practice, I thought I have already known a bit reason behind of why this course needs to be learned by all teacher candidates. By the Q & A session that was taken place on the opening part of the class session, it was enough for me to know and understand that actually for creating an effective learning and also the best learning experiences for students, keep the students’ motivation wake up is a must. However motivation is like an encouragement that comes from heart self or out of side to reach someone’s goal. Like what Morono (2012) said in her blog, motivation is like a chocolate cake. It is actually never around when you want it. It takes effort to make. It needs to drop a few bucks to obtain it. It does not last and there is never enough.
Moreover relate to humanistic theories set forth by Carl Rogers, the motivation affected greatly to drive someone feel the desire to succeed based on factors such as their own interest in an activity or the feeling of satisfaction that is achieved when they complete the necessary steps to achieve the desired accomplishment (McDaniel, 2012). So it is clear that motivation is crucial and every human being needs to be motivated either by him/her self or people around to reach their goal.
But as a teacher candidate, I just feel like how can I ensure that all of my students, regardless of their social, economic, and intellectual statuses, learn and become useful and productive members of society? How can I motivate them to pursue and achieve academic goals on their own? And how can I enhance their motivation to learn?
As you may know that motivating student is not simply as it may sound. However it is one-step process and you have to do it with heart and a huge of effort and patience. Otherwise the Implementation of motivation strategies itself is very personal and depends on the teacher's personality and style. In addition, it involves a wide variety of learning experiences for the student and moreover dependent on the structure and routine of the class period.
Yes, like the way mam Mima teach us, I like it and I will not forget it. It is like a magic and I think most students like her style of teaching, Hehehe,, But what I know is she has her own strategies to make her students enjoy her class a lot. Moreover she also has a skill to create classroom conditions that encourage engagement and motivation to learn on a variety of levels :)
Since motivation seems to play an important role in teaching and teachers play a vital role in shaping what occurs in classrooms, it is important for teachers to become familiar with various aspects of motivation, right?? In addition as teachers, we need to constantly strive to maximize the potential of our students. It is good for teachers to not only strive to intrinsically motivate their students but also use extrinsic motivation as a tool for the last alternative method.

Oke, I think that is all my reflection today and I just want to say “I CANNOT WAIT ANY LONGER TO DEEPEN THIS COURSE WITH YOU MISS MIMA AND ALL OF SECTION B MEMBERS
